Star Wars Battlefront

One of the biggest Star Wars characters is finally making an appearance in Star Wars Battlefront II: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

As EA unveiled in a press release, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi will be appearing in the game as part of the free Battle of Geonosis update. He sports his younger look, modeled after actor Ewan McGregor, though he’ll be voiced by James Arnold Taylor (who played the character in The Clone Wars).

“Catering to these known traits and characteristics, we hope players will feel right at home playing as the Jedi Master in Star Wars Battlefront II,” EA wrote in a post to the game’s website.

Obi-Wan’s playstyle is modeled after his time as a general in the Clone Wars, as opposed to his earlier appearances as an apprentice or later ones as a hermit Jedi master.  He uses a Defensive Rush Ability, allowing him to rush forward while deflecting blaster shots with his lightsaber and damaging any enemies in front of him. He’s also able to use his Restrictive Mind Trick to disrupt his target’s Abilities, showing off his specialty of messing with his opponents’ heads. Finally, he can make an All-Out Push with the Force. Players can increase the range of this Ability by continuing to hold down the button.

Obi-Wan appears with a default Jedi Master Appearance, with a Robed Appearance and General Kenobi Appearance available for purchase with credits or crystals.

Obi-Wan, General Grievous, and other updates will appear on November 28th when the Battle of Geonosis update arrives.
