THE BUZZ: Dead Rising 2: Off The Record is bring back everybody’s favorite war-covering photographer, Frank West. Today, Capcom reminded everybody of that fact that it’s also coming to PC, and announced that pre-orders have begun. The game can be pre-ordered via the Capcom Store, Direct2Drive, Gamersgate, GameTap, and GamesPlanet.com, will all services offering 10% off for pre-ordering. Steam pre-orders are coming soon, but the page for doing so isn’t up yet.

The PC version of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record will be released on October 11th, the same day as the console version. Pre-order copies will not be playable until activation begins on that date. The PC version will include Games for Windows LIVE’s SSA DRM, just as the PC version of Dead Rising 2 did.

EGM’s TAKE: Not that I’m a PC gamer myself, but always good to see more people get the chance to play games. For the PC-owners out there: any interest in Off The Record?
