Official Minecraft LEGO Sets Get The Green Light

THE BUZZ: LEGO has announced that it’s begun work on official Minecraft sets after a successful petition.
Mojang, developers of Minecraft, started a petition on LEGO Cuusoo – a concept site for Lego ideas – and more than 10,000 people signed meaning that Lego considered the proposal and gave it the green light. An official statement reads:
“We’re happy to announce that the Minecraft project on LEGO CUUSOO has passed the LEGO review and we are now developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and in Minecraft. We can’t wait to show it to you-but it isn’t ready just yet. These things take time, so we appreciate your patience. More details are to come.”
EGM’s TAKE: Now the wild ideas and thoughts really begin. What will the great minds at LEGO come up with for Minecraft? The two concepts seem to go perfectly hand in hand, with the massive fanbase that the game has, that’s a lot of potential sales. There’s going to be a lot of head scratching over at LEGO for the next few months as they decide exactly what they are going to make. We’re ready to empy our wallets for whatever it is.
