Marvel’s Spider-Man carries a massive roster of villains, but one baddie that seems to have not made the cut is Spider-Man’s arch enemy, Venom.
A Spidey fan recently hit up developer Insomniac’s art director, Jacinda Chew, inquiring about the size of Venom. Chew revealed that Vemon is so big, the developers didn’t have any space for him in the villain-packed game.

Considering the size of some enemies confirmed for the game, such as Rhino, this was likely just a cute way to say that the developer simply wasn’t able to fit Venom into the story. Speaking of Rhino, the character’s voice actor recently leaked an unconfirmed villain that did make it into the game: Doc Ock.
Other famous villains confirmed for the game include Vulture, Electro, Mr. Negative, and Scorpion, all of which can be seen in the game’s E3 stage demo. Shocker also showed up as a villain at E3 2018, although he was part of the show floor demo.
Spider-Man is slated to launch September 7th, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
