It has already been announced that PC players who purchase a retail copy of Battlefield 3 will need an Origin account in order to play the game however now an extra piece of information has been revealed that may annoy fans.

In the past Battlefield players could create as many profiles or soldiers as they wished however that is set to change in Battlefield 3.

Dice’s Daniel Matros has revealed that a players soldier is tied to their Origin account and you cannot create any new soldiers or profiles.

He also commented on twitter that your soldiers name will be the same as your Origin account and the only way to change your Battlefield 3 name will be to change your Origin profile name.
