OPM Builds Its Own PlayStation 4

THE BUZZ: Official PlayStation Magazine has created its own PlayStation 4, based off rumored specs that have surfaced online.
The monster machine (above) features a AMD A8 3850 processor and an AMD Radeon HD 7670 graphics card, which is exactly what this report claims Sony’s own console will use.
OPM benchmarked the machine against a top end i7 2700K PC set-up to compare, and the results were skewed heavily in the i7′s favor. The console did manage to run Skyrim on Ultra at 30 FPS.
EGM’s TAKE: If these are the actual specs that Sony will use then the console will be a little disappointing. The HD 7670 is near identical to the year old HD 6670, which is a mid-range PC graphics card. By the looks of these specs the console would struggle to even come close to top end PCs, meaning that Sony would already be behind the curve before the console even launches. Just imagine how far behind it would be five years into its life cycle. Hopefully these rumored specs prove to be false for Sony’s sake.
Does the PlayStation 4 need more power to succeed or could it survive with these specs? Leave your thoughts below.
