An optional PlayStation 3 firmware update is now available to download, which will take the console up to version 4.53.
Version 4.53 is a small update designed to increase overall system stability, according to Sony Online support co-ordinator “SuperFastZombie.”

Sony also enabled the “Live Item” feature on PlayStation 4 today, after disabling it at launch to ensure a smooth release.
