Tomb Raider

An iOS port of the original 1996 Tomb Raider for PlayStation is now available for purchase on iTunes for $0.99.

Spotted yesterday on the New Zealand App Store by Touch Arcade, Tomb Raider’s iOS port went live 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time last night. Square Enix, however, has yet to make any formal announcement about the classic PS1 game’s iOS release.

According to the game’s iTunes description, the iOS version of Tomb Raider includes two extra chapters that were added into the game’s 1998 rerelease. By default, Tomb Raider is controlled through a virtual d-pad and corresponding buttons, but it is compatible with game controllers, including the MOGA Ace Power and the Logitech PowerShell.

Tomb Raider is compatible on any iOS devices running 7.0 or up.
