Tomb Raider

A new teaser trailer for the Tomb Raider film, in preparation for the upcoming full trailer, confirms the returning series’ tradition of beating the living hell out of Lara Croft.

The teaser trailer was posted to the film’s official Twitter account, announcing the impending release of the full trailer for tomorrow, September 19th. The teaser trailer only offers up a few quick clips of the film’s action, but it is enough to get a good look at actress Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and the danger of the adventure she faces.

The teaser didn’t give a look at either of the other two big names joining Vikander in the movie, Dominic West and Walton Goggins, but we will likely see them in the full trailer tomorrow. West, known for his work in The Wire, will play Vikander’s father, while Goggins, whose recent work includes The Hateful Eight and HBO’s Vice Principals, will take on the role of the film’s villain.

The Tomb Raider film is slated to hit theaters on March 16th, 2018. The movie is not directly tied to any particular game installment, but the aesthetic of the newly revealed movie poster would suggest that the film somewhat aligns with the most recent Tomb Raider reboot series, from which a new installment may have leaked earlier this summer.
