Downloadable content that adds a new protagonist and new storyline is en route for Outlast, developer Red Barrels announced today.
The developer promised more details about the DLC to come October 31—Halloween—later this week.

In addition to the DLC, Red Barrels is also offering outlast at a discount 33 percent discount through Steam, which also comes with a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack.
“We’ve gotten a ton of good feedback from Outlast players and one thing is clear: People want us to keep trying to scare them!” Red Barrels co-founder Philippe Morin said in a press release. “We’re more than happy to oblige. With the sale we’ve started today and the upcoming DLC, there should be plenty of chances for Outlast to continue to scare the crap out of everyone across the world.”
Outlast debuted on Windows PC September 4. A PlayStation 4 version is slated for release early 2014.
