OUYA has announced that consoles will begin shipping out to backers from the end of next month, marking the end of a long journey.

The consoles will begin shipping out from March 28, but there’s a lot to get through so it may take a couple of weeks. Backers have been asked to keep an eye on their inboxes for an email from OUYA with their tracking number and estimated delivery date enclosed. OUYA’s full launch is still scheduled for June, when it will be available at retail.

As well as this OUYA also announced that Kellee Santiago, co-founder of thatgamecompany, has joined the team to lead developer relations. “OUYA gets it. This is the first console company that really understands how important it is to remove the barriers to development,” Santiago said. “By freeing up the development process, OUYA is opening up new doors in console gaming.”
