Ouya has announced that when consoles are shipped to backers later this month there will not be support for online chat, friends lists, or achievements.

These features will be added to the console later this year, an Ouya representative told The Verge. Ouya games will support online play from March 28, but only if developers build it to their games.

People who didn’t donate to Ouya’s Kickstarter will be able to buy a console from June.
