Over 270 Billion Achievement Points Unlocked Since Xbox Live Began, Plus More Insane Stats

Xbox Live turns 10 years old this week and Microsoft has been going nostalgia crazy with freebies and trips down memory lane, the platform holder has now released a bunch of crazy Xbox Live related stats to amaze and surprise you.
Since the service launched in 2002 over 122,265,266 friendships have been formed over Xbox Live and 4.5 billion achievements have been unlocked worldwide, totaling an insane value of 270 billion achievement points. In other news Microsoft is also giving away a free game to all Xbox Live members and a 50 percent sale is currently live on the Marketplace offering some top titles at discounted prices.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson also got a little nostalgic and posted up an audio clip of the original Xbox dashboard sound, along with some images of what the dashboard used to look like.
