Overkill’s The Walking Dead‘s release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has been pushed out of 2018, Starbreeze and 505 Games have announced.

The game was originally scheduled to release on consoles in November of this year, but has been delayed until February 6th, 2019 in North America and February 8th, 2019 internationally. The PC version of the game will still release on November 6th, 2018 in North America and November 8th, 2018 internationally.

The decision to delay the game on consoles was made by 505 Games “to ensure a simultaneous release of the console version digitally and in stores to achieve optimal marketing impact and maximize sales.”

“505 Games, which owns the publishing rights to the console version of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, has decided to release the console version of the game in February instead of November, as previously planned,” Starbreeze explained in its latest financial report (via Destructoid). “They have opted to do this because they want to ensure a simultaneous release of the console version digitally and in stores to achieve optimal marketing impact and maximize sales.”

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a co-op multiplayer shooter in which players must work together to find survivors, secure supplies, and survive. The game features four playable characters, each with their own special abilities, skill trees, and background stories.
