Overwatch‘s Lunar New Year event is now live, and it brought with it will introduce one of the game’s most highly-requested features: the ability to change hero costumes at the start-of-match screen.

The feature was announced in a post to the official Overwatch Twitter account, with a quick video showing off the feature in action. Rather than being forced to go back to the game’s main menu to switch up hero skins, players on all platforms can soon utilize a simple drop-down menu at the top right of a match’s character selection screen to decide how they want to style their hero for that match.

Before players think about going wild, they should know that the option to switch character skins will only be present at the start of a match. Once a match has commenced, selected skins will be locked in.

Overwatch‘s Year of the Dog event is now live and will run for four weeks, one week longer than last year’s Lunar New Year celebration. The event introduces six new legendary skins, the return of the Capture the Flag mode, a new map exclusively designed for CTF, and more.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
