Overwatch

A massive patch has dropped for Overwatch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

While it may not have delivered a new hero, a gargantuan patch arrived today for Overwatch. Some of the highlights include the Bastion changes that we previously saw on the PTR, making the omnic battle-ready for Season 4 of Ranked Play. However, the biggest change we noticed was a newly implemented spawn delay for defenders. Now, if more attackers are alive than defenders when taking a control point, the respawn time for defenders will be increased until it achieves a maximum value.

“Until now, stalling an attack by repeatedly throwing yourself at the point has been a common defensive strategy on Assault, Escort and Assault/Escort maps—even when the attackers have a decisive advantage,” read the post from Overwatch community manager Josh Engen. “Typically, this tactic doesn’t change the outcome of battle; it simply delays the attackers’ progress.”

Additionally added was the new Game Browser, which allows players to create custom match types and play different modes within the game. Check out all the fun you can have with it in the video below!

A full list of changes—including many small buffs and nerfs for your favorite heroes—can be spotted on the Battle.net forums.
