Overwatch

Blizzard has announced that the Summer Games event will return to Overwatch on August 9th, 2018.

Currently, all we know is that Lucioball will return once again in a new stadium set in Busan, South Korea. Presumably, the Summer Games loot boxes will also return, offering the chance to earn new summer-themed skins as well as another shot at skins from previous years. Last year’s skins included Mercy’s Winged Victory, Grillmaster: 76, and Lifeguard McCree.

It’s unknown if the competitive version of Lucioball will also return this year. Copa Lucioball let players take part in competitive Lucioball matches, complete with placement matches, skill ratings tiers, leaderboards, competitive points, and more. Players could earn new sprays based on where they placed in the event.

Last year’s event ran from August 8th-28th, so expect this year’s event to come to a close on August 29th.

Overwatch is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
