In response to a forum post calling for more variety in Overwatch‘s weekly brawls, game director Jeff Kaplan has revealed that plans to amp up the mode are in the works.

Don’t get me wrong, but, with the exception of Lucioball, the Overwatch weekly brawls have been very similar, mostly doing nothing more than limiting the playable heroes and maps. Battle.net forum poster DylieWylie felt similarly, and inquired if any fresh modes would be coming. Lucky for DylieWylie, Overwatch‘s game director replied to the post with some good news.

“We have plans for some cooler Brawls later this fall and winter,” Kaplan said. “We’ll bring back some of the old favorites as well, based on feedback.”

Sounds quite promising to me! Perhaps a snowball fight mode? I’m into it!
