Overwatch

The Competitive Play update for Overwatch is now live on PlayStation 4.

Competitive Play is a new matchmaking option for the popular hero shooter that tracks players’ skills and progress, matching them against equal opponents and offering some new rewards. The 1.04 update launched on Tuesday for PC and late last night, June 30th, on Xbox One, despite not being expected to launch on consoles until early this coming week.

Apart from the Competitive Play mode, the 1.04 brings balancing tweaks to the hero characters McCree and Widowmaker, tweaks that have already been active on the PC version of the game for some time. Other additions and adjustments include a new weapons menu for special weapon skins as well as a host of bug fixes for characters, maps, and general features.

The update is approximately 1.3 GB and is available right now on PlayStation 4.
