Overwatch

Overwatch‘s upcoming Oasis map is finally live in the game’s public test region on PC, and one YouTuber has offered a full tour for those of us who can’t play it for ourselves.

Coming to us via YouTube channel Overwatch Central, the video breaks down each of the map’s three control zones. Oasis supports the Control game mode?two teams fighting over one objective in three separate zones?set in a futuristic city in what is currently modern Iraq.

Oasis supports two features unique to the familiar Overwatch template. Firstly, Oasis is the only map in Overwatch (so far) to offer jump pads where players can hop on and be thrown to a higher area. Secondly, one of the three zones features a highway with traffic speeding along it, and these hovercars can be lethal for anyone who gets in the way.

Oasis was first revealed at BlizzCon 2016, where Overwatch‘s new character Sombra also made her debut. Oasis currently does not have a release date for all systems, but considering it has made it to the PTR, the full release shouldn’t be too far out.
