Blizzard revealed the 24th hero for Overwatch today, Orisa.

Unveiled at the Overwatch art panel at GDC, Orisa is a quadruped defense robot that resides in the Tank role. Within the world of the game, Orisa was created by child-genius Efi Oladele from an old OR-15 defense robot chassis. You can view her heart-warming origin story in a video from Blizzard:

However, if you want to see her in action, you’ll want to check out the videos below.

Primary Fire – Fusion Driver:
An automatic gatling gun that—when fired—slows down her movement.

Protective Barrier (12 second cooldown):
Drops a barrier with roughly 600 hitpoints.

Secondary Fire – Halt (7 second cooldown):
A projected mini-graviton that—when triggered—pulls enemies towards the explosion.

Fortify (10 second cooldown):
A temporary boost to damage reduction, and no action-impairing effects (boops, stuns, etc.) hit her.

Ultimate – Supercharger:
A damage boosting ability that is affected by line of sight. Enemies can destroy the Supercharger to end the ability.

Really curious about the workings of Orisa, and why she’s got the kit listed above? Check out Overwatch‘s game director, Jeff Kaplan, detail all of that in this developer update.

Orisa is playable now on the PTR. No timetable has been announced for when she’ll join the live servers or console versions of the game.
