Overwatch‘s second Anniversary event is the game’s biggest event yet, not just because of its new content, but also due to the plethora of older collectibles returning from every past event.

Starting with what’s new, there will be a total of 50 new cosmetic items, including eight Legendary skins, three Epic skins, and dance emotes for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte. We haven’t seen all of the skins coming in the event, but from the event’s announcement tweet below, we can get a glimpse of Junkrat’s (previously leaked) pirate skin.

As an added bonus, all cosmetic items from the game’s previous seasonal events are returning in this year’s Anniversary event. This means that any event skin a player may have missed out on will be acquirable during the Anniversary event, and players will be guaranteed at least one Legendary skin upon opening their Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, earned simply by signing on during the event. Buying the game’s 50 Loot Box Bundle will net an additional Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, but normal event loot boxes will be earned when ranking up or playing Arcade.

Earning loot boxes in the Arcade will be better than ever during the event, as all previous seasonal Brawl modes will be on a daily rotation, according to the event’s official press release. If Brawls aren’t your thing, the press release also announces a new Deathmatch map coming in the event, Petra, which can be enjoyed in the event’s new Competitive Deathmatch option. Like other competitive Arcade mode variants, Deathmatch will have its own placements and ranking system.

Finally, a free Overwatch weekend will run during the event. From May 25th to May 28th, anyone interested in Overwatch can give it and its Anniversary event a shot, and those trying the game on PlayStation 4 will not need PlayStation Plus to partake.

Overwatch‘s second Anniversary event will run from May 22nd to June 11th. In other Overwatch news, the team shooter will soon see the launch of a new digital Legendary Edition, dropping the same day as the event and bringing with it 15 total skins of varying rarities.
