Pocket Books have announced that the mass market paperback editions of books based on the games Gears Of War and World Of Warcraft will be out in March and April, respectfully.

Written by Karen Traviss, Gears Of War: The Slab is a prequel to the first Gears game, and Traviss’ fifth and, sadly, final Gears novel. It will be released on March 26, and will retail for $9.99.

If you prefer your multiplayer to be more massive, Christie Golden’s World Of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides Of War — the hardcover of which was a New York Times bestseller — sets the stage for the most recent W.O.W. expansion, Mists Of Pandaria. It will be out April 30 and will retail for $7.99.
