PAX East 2013: Blizzard Announces Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft

Blizzard has announced Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft, a free-to-play digital collectible card game.

Hearthstone is being developed by Blizzard’s new team Five, made up of 15 developers from the company. You can play as any class from World of Warcraft and you earn card packs in game or buy them for real world currency. There will also be online multiplayer which is powered by Battle.net.

A neat little feature is the card crafting mechanic which allows you to disenchant any card in the game to get Arcane Dust, this dust can then be used to craft any card you want.

Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft is set to release on PC, Mac, and iPad.
