PC Version of Call of Duty: Elite May Not Launch At All

Posted on November 15, 2011 AT 08:12am

THE BUZZ: Activision has revealed that the delayed Call of Duty: Elite service for PC may not launch at all, if they cannot guarantee a safe environment.

“We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC,” reads a message on the Elite Twitter account. This also means that PC fans will not be able to take advantage of discounted DLC that comes with an Elite membership.

EGM’s TAKE: PC is a lot harder to police than consoles which may be why Activision are struggling with the service. But it seems that these concerns should have been vetted out prior to promising future service to PC users. Some may have chosen a different platform had they known.
