Atlus parent company Index Corporation registered the domain “persona5.jp” toward the tail end of June.

As always, this could mean any number of things. The most obvious? That the fifth Persona game is in the works and Index is ramping up for its reveal. But Index didn’t register “persona4.jp” or “persona3.jp,” the domain registration could just be pre-emptive action from the company in the wake of their financial troubles.

Series producer Katsura Hashino said in August 2012 that the Persona team was working on “the next numbered Persona game.”

A port of Persona 4 was released in North America November 20, 2012.
