City of Heroes is due to close by the end of November, but that hasn’t stopped its brave community from trying to fight NCSoft all the way in a hope of saving the game. The latest move is to get fans of the game to sign a petition which has so far garnered 20,000+ signatures.
While the petition is good, I doubt it will be enough to save the game, however this isn’t the only trick that the community has up its sleeve. Various rallies and protests are constantly ongoing inside the game world, including Instance 33 of Atlus Park which players are keeping alive by always having one person on watch inside the Instance.
Fans also collected $1,000 to send the development team at Paragon Studios out for a nice meal to say thank you for all their work. However, it all appears to be in vein as NCSoft has already started handing out refunds for purchases and the game’s final events have been announced.
Can it be saved? Share your thoughts below.
