Phantasy Star Online 2 Announced For PlayStation Vita

THE BUZZ: Sega has confirmed it will be releasing the former PC exclusive, Phantasy Star Online 2, for PlayStation Vita.

In a video shown at Sony’s PlayStation Vita Game Heaven event, game producer Sakai Satoshi confirmed that players will be able to play alongside PC gamers on the same servers and can share their characters across both versions.

The announcement video, complete with gameplay footage can be found below.

EGM’s TAKE: Being able to take an MMO with you on the move and picking up where you left off on the PC, now that’s something that we like to see. How many MMOs have you played where you wished something like that was possible. Sega may really be onto a winner here if the gameplay can hold up. The premise and concept is there, now all they need is to execute it properly. Watch and learn MMO developers.
