Phantasy Star Online 2 Gameplay

THE BUZZ: Two new gameplay videos have emerged for Phantasy Star Online 2.
EGM’s TAKE: Sega has been very quiet about the title since the first trailer released back in April last year. The game will support up to 12 players online, with players forming three parties consisting of four members each. Action sequences will merge in with set-pieces in order to create a brand new combo system which will offer a more intelligent style of combat over the original’s button mashing. The Phantasy Star Online series first appeared back in 2000 for the Dreamcast and was then followed by Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 for the Gamecube and Xbox in 2002. It’s been almost ten years since the original game released, so there’s a lot riding on the development of this new title. The game has never enjoyed a large fanbase but it certainly had a solid core, which will be tough to please with the combat changes already shown.
What do you think of the game so far? Are you excited? Leave your thoughts below.
