Furmins, developer Housemarque’s physics-based puzzle game that originally debuted for iOS devices, is coming to PlayStation Vita December 17, the studio announced today.

Gameplay in Furmins (seen in the video embedded below) revolves around players placing objects strategically throughout the environment to help guide the creatures from point A to point B. As Housemarque community manager Tommaso De Benetti points out in his post on the PlayStation Blog, “levels are what make (or break)” a puzzle game, and to that end Housemarque has built over 100 levels for players to best.

Each level is conquered in two steps: First is “Setup mode,” in which players place items and contraptions to create a path for the Furmins. Next is “Action mode,” during which players continue to help Furmins by activating machines using the PS Vita touchscreen or rear touchpad.

Furmins originally launched for iOS devices February 2, 2012 and was met with generally favorable critical reception.
