Nintendo is smartly leveraging the current anticipation for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 with a special edition release of the upcoming 3DS XL model. Painted “shocking yellow” and only available in limited quantities, the handheld system is only available at Pokémon Centers near you—the real-life brick-and-mortar stores, not the in-game ones.

While Pokémon Centers aren’t too hard to find in Japan—they’re all over the area—the United States is another matter, as there’s only three states that host the chain.

Here’s a list of the Pokémon Center locations where you can hope to catch it before it’s gone:

  • Northgate Mall
  • Alderwood Mall

• Tacoma, Washington
  • Tacoma Mall

• New York, New York
  • New York (Nintendo World Store)

This limited edition Pikachu 3DS XL will retail in Japan for the same price as a normal 3DS XL (around ¥18,900), but it wouldn’t be a “shock” if the U.S. locations “charged” a bit extra for the privilege of owning one.

If you want to pre-order it, you can run over to your nearest Pokémon Center to do so starting on September 15th. In fact, that’s the only way to get your hands on one, since putting them on shelves would probably cause fights.
