Torment: Tides of Numenera, a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment being developed by InXile Entertainment, has already reached its $900,000 funding goal after starting their campaign just yesterday.
The Kickstarter campaign broke $1,000,000 from just over 19,000 backers within hours of launching, and those numbers continue to rise. The campaign will run until April 5.
This is InXile’s second successful Kickstarter campaign. Their first crowd-funded project, Wasteland 2, raked in almost $3 million in funds (it too had a $900,000 goal).
Tides of Numenera is being developed for Windows, Linux, and Mac. More details are available on the official Kickstarter campaign page.
