PlanetSide 2 will arrive on the PlayStation 4 in early 2014, according to John Smedley, company president at Sony Online Entertainment.

“We’re helping the Sony PlayStation 4 launch on November 15 by releasing DC Universe Online at launch, and we’re following up that early next year with our next game, Planetside 2, on PS4,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg.

PlanetSide 2 released for PC back in November 2012, and is not cross-server compatible with the upcoming PlayStation 4 version, according to SOE.

Sony Online Entertainment also recently announced a massive graphical overhaul for the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of its other MMO DC Universe Online ahead of its PlayStation 4 release in November.
