Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will cost $29.99 ($39.99 on Xbox One)when it launches early next year, Shacknews reports.
Creative director Justin Wiebe cites PopCap’s success with “lower to mid-tier priced games” as part of the reason for the price point. The other? The absence of single-player (Garden Warfare only has 24-player competitive multiplayer and 4-player co-op) and the company’s intention to grow the game continuously post-launch.
As for the $10 difference in the Xbox One version’s price? Presumably due to the exclusive content the Xbox One boasts with its version of Garden Warfare.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare launches on Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 early 2014. The PC version is set to release before the new year.
