Atsushi Inaba, head of Platinum Games, has shown an interest in acquiring the Darksiders IP and Development Studio after no-one placed a bid during THQ’s asset auction.
After the auction, Darksiders developer Vigil Games was left out in the cold with no interested buyers. Inaba tweeted that he’d love to buy the studio and IP if it was cheap enough. The original tweet was in Japanese, but a rough translation reads:
“Seriously “DARKSIDERS” in the auction sale of THQ, Studio & IP remain unsold. I’d want to buy if it was cheap enough.”
