Overwatch

Overwatch will be free to play this weekend, Blizzard has announced.

From February 16th at 11 a.m. PT through to February 19th at 11:59 p.m. PT, all players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC will be able to download and play the game for free.

During the free weekend, all of the game’s 26 heroes and 17 maps will be available to play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players can also level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock new customization options. As an added bonus, all progress made during the free weekend can be carried over to the full game.

PC owners will require a Battle.net account to download and play the free trial, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription, respectively, to gain access.

The Year of the Dog Lunar New Year event is currently live in the game, offering a new Capture the Flag map and numerous seasonal cosmetic items, including new skins, sprays, and emotes.
