PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting a big update on PC this week.

The update will go live tomorrow and introduces the SLR DMR weapon which uses 7.62mm and has 10 bullets in the magazine, along with the four-seat Mirado classic muscle car that can be found around downtown areas and main city streets in Miramar.

As well as these new additions, an extensive balance pass has been made to each of the game’s weapons to try and reduce the effectiveness of the assault rifle. Following the update, the power differential between each assault rifle has been rescued, SMGs are now more effective in short range combat, and shotguns have had their overall damage and effective range increased.

The final big addition in this update is the map selection option. This will allow players to select a single map to play on and be guaranteed to only get the chosen map. Developer PUBG Corp. has previously stated that it will remove the feature if it causes issues with matchmaking.

Other changes include boat and swimming adjustments, new weapon attachments, and numerous bug fixes.
