PUBG has brought back PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test server on Xbox One.
For the next few days, all owners of the game on Microsoft’s console can download and try out the new test update for free. The test server will feature both Erangel and Miramar, but is restricted to just the North American server.
The update itself makes balance changes to a number of weapons, makes it so level three helmets only spawn in care packages, adds Adrenaline Syringes to world loot as a rare spawn, reduces the case time of Adrenaline Syringes, and adds several new attachments to the game, including a 6x scope, a Duckbill for Shotguns, and a Light Grip for rifles.
In terms of new content, players can try out the SLR DMR that uses 7.62mm ammo and the Mirado classic muscle car that can be found on Miramar.
Other changes in this update include multiple throwable balance adjustments, a decrease in player movement speed when holding certain weapons, a decrease in how long players can stay underwater, and a new marker on the map that shows the flight path of the plane.
Finally, numerous performance improvements have been made to the game, including character model rendering changes to prevent some small frame drops, skydiving changes to improve frame rate, and reduced network latency.
The test server will be available until July 16th at 1 a.m. PT. Take a look at the full patch notes here.
