THE BUZZ: Sony has announced a new firmware update is now available to download for the PlayStation 3, taking it up to version 3.73.

The update is non-mandatory and will improve system stability in certain areas.

“A new, non-mandatory PS3 firmware update, v3.73, is now available. Stability during use of certain PS3 format software has been improved,” Sony explained via Twitter.

EGM’s TAKE: Yet another PS3 update comes and goes without anyone even noticing, people are just waiting to see what version 4.0 will bring now.
