The PlayStation 3 has passed yet another milestone this week by selling 5 million units in the U.K. since launch.
Console sales jumped 138 percent during the week of September 28 thanks to the launch of the new PlayStation 3 Super Slim, and with a second 12 GB versions set to release in the U.K. this Friday the sales are just going to keep on rolling. “It is fantastic that we passed the 5m mark,” PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara told MCV. “But most importantly to me is not the milestone itself, but the fact that there is momentum behind it.”
“And with the new chassis, and the way the market is panning out this year, PlayStation definitely has the momentum,” he added.
