Sony’s PlayStation 4 is officially the fastest selling console in UK history, according to GFK Chart-Track.

Chart-Track confirmed that the console has taken the crown away from the PSP, which had held it for eight years with 150,000 units sold. According to MCV‘s retail sources, the PlayStation 4 managed to move 250,000 units in its first 48 hours of sale. The Xbox One managed to sell 150,000 units in its first 48 hours.

The highest ranking PlayStation 4 exclusive title in the UK chart was Killzone: Shadow Fall, which debuted at number four.
