The prices on the European PlayStation Store will be adjusted ahead of the PlayStation 4′s launch, Sony has confirmed.
Sony and EA came under heavy fire this week when it was revealed that the publisher’s PlayStation 4 games would be priced at £63 on the PlayStation Store–making them more expensive than on the Xbox Games Store. The prices were then dropped to £60, but it appears that they are set to drop again to be more in line with Xbox One.
“Although PS4 launches in Europe on the 29th November, we have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch,” Sony told Eurogamer.
“However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday.”
If you have already purchased a game at the higher price you will be refunded the difference when the price is lowered, according to Sony.
