Sony has started rolling out a new mandatory firmware update for the PlayStation 4 that takes the console up to version 1.61. The update enhances the console’s overall stability, according to PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen.

Sony recently released update 1.60 for the console that added support for the PULSE and PULSE Elite Wireless Stereo Headsets, as well as making additional improvements to the console’s stability and adding the option to mute the PlayStation 4 camera.
