PlayStation 4 supply will remain limited until summer

Posted on March 21, 2014 AT 05:26am

Supply of PlayStation 4 consoles will remain limited until at least the summer, according to Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House.

House told the Wall Street Journal that demand for the console has remained high in all territories, especially in the U.S. and Europe, since it launched in November. ”We’re struggling to keep up with demand,” he said. “Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we’ll be closer to a full supply situation.”

Earlier this month, Sony announced that it had sold six million PlayStation 4 units worldwide. The company also announced earlier this week that an upcoming update for the console will add the ability to record longer gameplay videos, introduce a new video editor, and more.
