Once again, being a PlayStation Plus member has some definite benefits, as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale‘s upcoming public beta will open early for members of the subscription-based online service. Everyone else will have to get lucky, but should still get their chance to join in for the beta this fall, as Sony will be sending out access codes soon enough.
Developer Superbot doesn’t seem to be worried about anymore potential gameplay leaks, though.
Beta players infamously released tons of information about PlayStation All-Stars already, with a huge chunk of the roster allegedly including Raiden, Nariko, Evil Cole, and several more previously hidden characters.
Superbot president Chan Park isn’t sore about it, though. In fact, he’s taking it all in stride pretty well, according to his community responses:
Glad you like the beta so far. As far as the leak, it happened and it’s nothing we felt we needed to hide from.
As far as the specifics, I will neither confirm nor deny anything other than to confirm that anything that has previously been confirmed or denied has not changed, but I will deny confirming this. That’s corporate talk for “wait for our official reveals” lol.
Although Park insists that the leaked characters, stages, and modes don’t represent anything in the final release, I think we all know better. Regardless, PlayStation All-Stars is doing another round of character reveals at Gamescom, which starts August 15th in Cologne, Germany.
