PlayStation Asia Shows You Life With PS Vita, Gamers Not Buying It

PlayStation Asia is promoting handheld gaming with some new ads showcasing “Life with PS Vita,” but fans on YouTube aren’t feeling the love.
Maybe it has something to do with the dry release calendar, the difficulty of the UMD Passport system, or the high price, but despite the excited testimonials in the videos, the majority of viewers (most of them Japanese) are voicing their “Dislike” of the ads. It’s fair to say that public perception of the PS Vita isn’t favorable, but this seems to be just another case of consumers either not caring about the PS Vita or openly hating it.
About the only things I’m taking issue with here are the translation (do the Japanese have a phrase for “mad fun”?) and the fact that one of these guys is wearing a fanny pack.
If anything, the ads are almost cool concept videos. If Sony produced a handheld system that had 3D holographic imagery like that just popping up in the air, those things would sell faster than Nintendo Wiis.
