The Last of Us fans are once again celebrating Outbreak Day—the day when a fungus started destroying the world as we know it—with new physical and digital merchandise.
For those unfamiliar, Outbreak Day (September 26th) recognizes the day in The Last of Us universe that the cordycep fungus began fully ravaging the human race. To commemorate the fifth anniversary of this apparently happy occasion, Sony is offering a variety of The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II–themed merchandise on the game’s official website. A list of this year’s available Outbreak goodies can be found below.
- Outbreak Day 2018 poster
- The Last of Us Part II avatars
- The Last of Us Part II PS4 theme
- The Last of Us Part II Ellie shirt
- The Last of Us OST vinyl (Vol. 1)
- The Last of Us (Cycles) theme song
- The Last of Us Apple device stickers
- The Last of Us Part II device wallpapers
The Outbreak Day 2018 poster, designed by Sam Wolfe Connelly, is only available for a limited time. Fans can get the poster until 9 a.m. PT on September 29th, after which it’ll be gone. On a bright side, the OST vinyl re-release is one of two volumes, and fans can look forward to the second volume dropping at a later date.
Topping off the Outbreak bonuses is a PlayStation Store sale, including The Last of Us Remastered and all of its DLC. The game’s price has been cut by 60 percent until October 2nd, along with a host of other games on the PlayStation Store that have seen similarly sizable price reductions, like Battlefield 1 Revolution, The Elder Scrolls Online, and more.
Despite a strong showing at E3 2018, fans still don’t know when to expect The Last of Us Part II‘s Playstation 4-exclusive launch, but it likely won’t drop until at least spring of 2019.
