PlayStation Home Finally Gives A Way To Fight Other Users

Posted on February 15, 2012 AT 06:38am

THE BUZZ: Capcom and Sony have joined forces to offer PlayStation Home users a chance to vent their frustration on others while earning cool prizes.

The “Street Fighter x Tekken Total Game Integration Event” begins today, February 15 and gives users a chance to win some free DLC for the game. Sony explains: ”Head to the Hub to pre-order Street Fighter x Tekken from PlayStation Home and receive the Boost Gem Trial Pack 1 bundle when it ships. This gem pack increases your Vitality, Defense and Cross Gauge meter build-up speed.”

Next week Sony will add a mini-game to Home that allows your Avatar to take part in a Street Fighter style brawl complete with health bars. ”Complete all 10 SFxTK challenges in Home to unlock Ryu and Kazuya costumes, which will allow you to throw fireballs and perform custom jump kick attacks,” says Sony.

EGM’s TAKE: A chance to finally deliver a beat down to the adolescent kids running around Home thinking they can say what they like because of anonymity? Yes please! Free DLC is always good, especially when you can do something fun to earn it. Sony is slowly adding more and more cool features to Home, but it’s got a long way to go before it can reach the more Hardcore PlayStation users.

Will you take part in the challenge? Leave a comment below.
