THE BUZZ: Today on the official PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Home community manager Locust_Star brings us two videos showing off some of what’s new and exciting in Sony’s virtual world of wonder.

First up is episode 25 of the Virtual Item Showcase, where host Magnus gives us a spook-tacular look at some of the Halloween-themed items that’ll be hitting the PlayStation Home Mall this Thursday.

Then, the PlayStation Blog wants to remind Home players everywhere about the next upcoming unlock for the big Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Total Game Integration event. This Thursday’s update will bring with it two new challenges for Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunter, an in-Home game where you can actually unlock exclusive content for your copy of Uncharted 3. Not sure what Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunter is all about? Check out the video below—just realize that, obviously, it’s a little late to try to pre-order a copy of Uncharted 3, seeing as how the game is now out and all.

EGM’s TAKE: Is it just me, or is the Virtual Item Showcase video a little creepy, watching as Magnus is talking but his mouth isn’t moving at all? When games do that, it’s a little weird, but here, as he’s talking directly to me—it’s way more unnerving than it should be. He’s going to haunt my dreams tonight, isn’t he?
