Today’s planned PlayStation Network maintenance will increase the number of portable devices allowed to be activated on a single account.
The limit will be increased from two PSP or PlayStation Vita devices to three, Sony has confirmed. “This maintenance will increase the number of devices that can be activated by an account as a portable gaming device,” the company wrote. “This means that you can now activate up to three portable gaming devices (PSP (PlayStation Portable) and PlayStation Vita) on your SEN account.
“This new portable gaming device allotment is in addition to the other network improvements being implemented during this downtime.”
The maintenance is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Pacific and will end at 2:00 p.m. Pacific (12:00 p.m. Eastern until 5:00 p.m. Eastern). As usual if you sign in before the downtime begins then you will be able to continue playing online. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will be unavailable until maintenance is completed.
